I totally relate. I too suffer from bpd and have for most of my life. I was diagnosed officially at 28 but first tried medications at age 23. Now I’m 35 and used to have “episodes” every 2 years but this past fall (2014) I not only didn’t have an episode but instead lowered my meds with a dr’s help) and also quit smoking. I work full time and it was getting hard and old to make up excuses as to why I was missing work for 3-5 weeks every two years. This helps me relate
